December is, for many people, a month of giving, sharing, and doing something good for someone else. That’s why Ambachtscentrum Fiets and Fietsbank Maastricht are calling on all residents of Maastricht to donate their old, broken, or unused bikes this month. A bike that’s been gathering dust in your home could make a world of difference to someone else.

The skilled technicians at the Fietsbank and Ambachtscentrum refurbish every donated bike, ensuring it can be used safely and with pride once again. This way, you’re not only passing on a bike—you’re passing on mobility, freedom, and new opportunities to someone in our own city.

An added bonus: by handing in unused bikes, we help declutter bicycle racks and parking facilities across Maastricht.

“The greatest joy I get is from seeing the enthusiasm of our ‘bike masters.’ Their dedication even shines through in the bicycles they restore. Do you have a bike you no longer use? Give it a new chance. A neighbour might soon be riding it with pride.”
— Jos Habets, Ambachtscentrum Fiets Maastricht

Do you have a bike you no longer use? Bring it to one of the five drop-off points in the city. More information: https://www.maastrichtbereikbaar.nl/en/how-do-i-travel/i-cycle/i-no-longer-need-my-bicycle

Join in and give someone a flying start to the new year. One bike can make all the difference.

This campaign—with the same goal—runs in parallel with the national bike donation initiative by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the ANWB Children’s Bike Plan.
