By public transport to Magical Maastricht

Choose the train or bus if you're coming from further away. Maastricht is easy to reach by train and bus. By bus, you can even get off right in the heart of the city centre, at the Markt or the Vrijthof. From Maastricht station, it's a 15-minute walk to the city centre (and the Vrijthof), and you can already enjoy a lovely city walking route along the way.

  • From the north: Amsterdam/Eindhoven/Roermond/Sittard-Geleen, with NS or Arriva trains.
  • From Heerlen/Valkenburg and Aachen, with the Arriva train.
  • From the south: Eijsden/Visé/Liège, with the NMBS local train or TEC buses.
  • By bus from Aachen, along the N278 route, with bus line 350.
  • With De Lijn buses from Belgium, all the way to the station or the Markt.

With Arriva's Euregio ticket, you can easily travel by bus and train throughout the Meuse-Rhine region on a single ticket, for €23.50 a day. There's also a weekly or weekend ticket, available from the bus driver, at ticket machines at the stations or public transport service points, and you can order the Euregio ticket online in Arriva's webshop.

Once you're in Maastricht, discover the rest of the city with ease by bike. Check out the shared bikes at the station to continue your journey.

Park in Heerlen and travel by train with up to five people for just €19.50!

For €19.50, you park your car and can travel by train with up to five people. You're guaranteed a parking space in Heerlen, and you cover the last stretch relaxed, by train, to Magical Maastricht.

Every day, more than 700 parking spaces are available across the seven Q-Park garages in Heerlen. The Park & Train ticket is valid for up to five people on Arriva trains and costs €19.50.

By train from Heerlen, you'll reach Maastricht within 23 minutes (fast train) or 30 minutes (local train).
