Biking to the INKOM?!

What does your educational institution do?

‘We expect thousands of new students this year,’ says Jeroen Custers, INKOM project leader. "Special bicycle stewards will tell you right at the start where you can and cannot park your bicycle. If you follow these tips your entire study period, you will help ensure that residents and students can live pleasantly together in this beautiful city."

Will you join us?

The #posifiets team will be at the “Welcome to Maastricht market” at Tapijn on the first day:

• Take part in the Obstacle Run and experience what it is like to walk with a wheelchair or blind cane along a recreated pavement that is full of lukly parked bicycles.
• Or choose the VR-Experience and see what it is like when pedestrians, cyclists and cars almost “collide”. You'll get tips on how to park safely and avoid fines.
• Engage with representatives from the Foundation Together Unlimited.
• Pick up a free bicycle light. Then you can pedal home safely after going out at night too.
• Be surprised by other handy #posifiets gadgets.

Learning from a thief

The municipal enforcement team has hired a former thief. He will show you how easy it is to steal your bike. You get tips on how to prevent theft.

Mosae Forum

And do you also want to park your bike at Mosae Forum? Then you can use the extra racks temporarily placed there during the INKOM.

Visiting

Between 18 August and 1 October, the #posifietsteam will visit the introduction weeks at the various faculties. There, too, we will give tips on:

• safe cycling
• safe parking
• prevention of fines.

And we hand out fun gadgets!
