The student societies KoKo and MSRV Saurus, in collaboration with #posifiets, are organising a bike collection campaign for all residents of Maastricht. Anyone with a broken bike or a bike they no longer use can hand it in for free.

Hand in your old bike on 6 July

And receive a lovely refreshing drink as a thank you.

On Monday 6 July, the student societies KoKo and MSRV Saurus, together with #posifiets, are organising a major bike collection event for all residents of Maastricht.

📍 Location: KoKo Student Association (Gebroeders Hermansstraat 11-13, Maastricht)
🕐 Time: From 13:00 – 19:00

Do you have a bike that’s broken, gathering dust or that you no longer use? Hand it in for free and give your bike a second life.

Why this campaign?

The initiative is part of the #posifiets drop-off campaign and focuses on:

  • reducing the number of abandoned bikes and bike wrecks in Maastricht
  • the sustainable reuse of bikes
  • supporting people who cannot afford to buy or repair a bike themselves

The bikes handed in are refurbished by the Fietsbank and the Ambachtscentrum Fiets. They are then given a new owner via the Kringloop or the Fietsbank.

Can’t make it along?

Can’t be there on 6 July, but would you still like to donate a bike? Then you can:

  • call the Fietsbank on 06 22 27 96 43 for more information
  • or hand in your bike yourself at the Ambachtscentrum Fiets (Watermolen 14, Maastricht)

Together, we’re keeping Maastricht bike-friendly

By giving bikes a second life, we free up more space on the streets, in racks and in bike sheds — and together we’re creating a more sustainable and social city.
