Attention: works and improvements in the vicinity of the Wilhelminasingel

From 6 May 2025 until the end of November, contractor Heijmans, commissioned by the municipality of Maastricht, will carry out major works on Wilhelminasingel, Wilhelminabrug, Franciscus Romanusweg and Sint Maartenslaan. These works are aimed at improving road safety and creating more space for cyclists and pedestrians in Wyck, while reducing through traffic.

Planning of operations

The work will take place from May 6 to the end of 2025 and will be carried out in four phases:

  • Phase 1 from 6 May to 27 June (8 weeks): Refurbishment of Franciscus Romanusweg
  • Phase 2 from 30 June to 21 August (8 weeks): Work on the Wilhelminabridge, Kesselskade, forecourt Mosae Forum and the Wilhelminasingel.
    • The work on Wilheminasingel will last until August 4.
  • Phase 3 from 4 August to 10 October `(10 weeks): East side approach Sint Maartenslaan
  • Phase 4 from 13 October to 28 November (7 weeks): Approach west side Sint Maartenslaan
