New bicycle-sharing scheme in Maastricht expands to 25 locations
As of 1 September, Arriva's shared bikes can be found at ten fixed locations. In the near future, the system will be expanded to 25 locations with a total of 250 blue shared bicycles.
The new locations for shared bikes include Koningin Emmaplein square, Onze Lieve Vrouweplein square, Vissersmaas, Stadspark city park, Fort Willemweg, etc. The bicycle racks and the shared bikes will be installed in phases from the end of September. The new locations will be added as soon on the arriva.nl/deelfiets website and in the Hello-bike app as they are ready for use.
Cycle for as little as €1
Use the Hello-Bike app to use the shared bike. Each bicycle has a QR code on it that refers you to this app on Google Play or on the App Store. After you have registered, you can easily rent a shared bike which can be opened with a Bluetooth lock. The user pays for the duration of their use of the bike. As soon as the bike is put into an official rack for shared bikes, the payment will stop. The first 20 minutes of cycling start at €1.
