JONGR. Maastricht lends a hand

On 29 June, JONGR., the Maastricht youth council, is organizing the MYCYCLE safe cycling event on Markt square in Maastricht. JONGR. conducted a survey amongst 400 young people who shared their opinion about mobility in the city. The survey showed that about half of young people used their mobile phone while cycling. Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar will also be at this event to provide information about smart and sustainable travel campaigns that make sure the city centre remains liveable and accessible. After all, every move counts!

Be sure to cycle by!

At 1:00 PM, Chairman of the Municipality of Maastricht's Mobility Executive Committee, Gert-Jan Krabbendam, will open the event. We're going to set up a Crazy bike track, visitors can take a cycling quiz, and cyclists can have their bicycles checked. Our Every move counts promotional team will also be there to hand out prize draw codes to cyclists. You stand a chance of winning an e-bike worth €2,500, €200 credit for your public transport pass (OV-chipkaart), fitness watches (step counters), monthly subscriptions to P+R Maastricht Noord, and gift vouchers from Bever. The event runs until 5:00 PM, so be sure to cycle by!

Cooperation

MYCYCLE is the result of an international collaboration between JONGR. Globelink, Op De Pedalen, and Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar (and traffic safety organization Veilig Verkeer Nederland subject to approval).
