Hospitality guides will show you the way: Kan ik u helpen? Can I help you?

Since Ascension Day and Pentecost, the hospitality guides have become a mainstay in the city centre of Maastricht. They inform visitors of the new rules of conduct for #Safelynavigatingthecity: keep right on the streets, walk in the right direction on one-way streets, keep 1.5-metres distance from others, and avoid crowds.

They also answer many questions, such as:

  • Which streets are less crowded?
  • When are certain shops open?
  • Where can I go to the toilet?
  • Which streets now have extra terraces?
  • May I have a map?
  • Where is the Visitor Center Maastricht (VVV)?

Cyclists

We are paying extra attention to cyclists. Cyclists must dismount and continue on foot. Do not park your bicycle against the façade of a building. Pedestrians need as much space as possible. The guides know exactly which bicycle parking facilities are open and where extra bicycle racks have been placed.
