Don’t need your bike anymore? Give it a second life!
How do you give your redundant bicycle a second life?
Volunteers of the Fietsbank Maastricht repair the bicycle and give the bikes to people who cannot buy a bike or have it repaired. This way, your redundant bike gets a new owner. Bicycles that cannot be repaired are recycled.
Donating your bicycle (parts) to the Fietsbank? Here are your options:
To the Fietsbank
Bring the bicycle yourself to the Fietsbank. Their address is Terracottaplein 22-27, 6216 BJ Maastricht. The Bicycle Bank can be reached from Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 3pm. Phone number: 06-13841971.
At university location Tapijn A
Pick up a label at one of the university's receptions. Attach the label to your bicycle and leave it at university location Tapijn A in Maastricht.
Pick up a label at one of the university's receptions. Attach the label to your bicycle and leave it at university location Randwyck, rounding building UNS50 in Maastricht.
You can also turn in loose bicycle parts to the Fietsbank.
Why is donating important?
By turning in your bike, you are ensuring that someone else can ride a bike. An unused bicycle unnecessarily occupies spaces in racks or on the street. The extra parking space prevents unsafe situations and mutual irritations. All #posifiets #doingittogether #morecycling #safecycling #safeparking
