Celebrate summer in Wyck
On the weekend of June 24 and 25, Wyck in Maastricht will open its summer during Route du Soleil. You can enjoy various activities for young and old, store and enjoy the terraces and live music. To give space from visitors, there are some car- and bike-free streets in Wyck during this weekend. We give you travel and parking tips.

Traffic measures in Wyck
The Rechtstraat, between Hoogbrugstraat and Wycker Pastoorstraat, and Wycker Brugstraat, between Stationsstraat and St. Servaasbrug are car-free and even closed to traffic. So keep this in mind as a cyclist. There will be traffic controllers to direct traffic.
If you have to cycle to the station or to Maastricht-East, turn left at the end of the St. Servaasbrug to the Oeverwal and go via the Sint Maartenslaan, Wilhelminasingel to the Stationsstraat (or vice versa).
How to travel to Maastricht?
Choose the bike
If you live within cycling distance, come by bike and get off in Wyck. Park your bike in one of the free parking lots In Wyck, you can do so in the underground parking lot near the station (first 24 hours free).
In Maastricht, you can also easily get from a to b with the shared bikes of Arriva or OV-fiets. You can then park remotely or make the first part of your journey by public transport and continue by bike. Want to know where to find these bikes? Take public transport
Don't get behind the wheel yourself and opt for a driver. Maastricht is easily accessible by train and bus. From the train station you can walk straight into Wyck.
- From the north Amsterdam/Eindhoven/Roermond/Sittard-Geleen via NS or Arriva trains.
- From Heerlen/Valkenburg and Aachen by Arriva train.
- From the south Eijsden/Visé/Liège by SNCB local train or TEC buses.
- By bus from Aachen and the route along the N278 with bus line 350.
- By Line buses from Belgium to the station or Markt.
With Arriva's Euregioticket you travel easily with one ticket by bus and train through the Meuse-Rhine area for €20 per day. There is a weekly or weekend ticket available from the bus driver, vending machines at stations or public transport service points and online.
Parking tips and shortest route to parking locations
Coming by car? The parking garages in the city center often fill up quickly, especially on weekends. With the tips below, you can save travel time looking for a parking location and therefore have more time in the center. You can also choose to park nearby, but then keep in mind that your parking location of choice may be full and you will therefore face a long(er) queue and extra travel time.
Tips:
P+R Maastricht Noord is also an option if you want to go to Wyck. With bus line 30 you can get off at the station and walk straight into Wyck. Parking at P+R Noord is free. A day return ticket costs € 2.40 per person and for 3-5 people € 5.95 (group ticket).
In Wyck, you can park at the Colonel, the Griend, P+R Central Station or at Plein 1992.

- If you’re coming from Belgium, follow Brusselseweg in Smeermaas and enter Maastricht via Belvédèrelaan. You’ll get to Maastricht faster, and you won’t have to wait at the ramp meter on Bosscherweg. Take the same road on your way back – it’s just as quick.
