Maastricht is easy to reach by bus, train, bicycle, moped and car (see www.maastrichtregion.com). Visitors to the city arriving by car will find plenty of parking options. They can simply follow the signs. The city also offers free, partly covered places to park one’s bicycle.

Maastricht has over 7,000 car parking spaces for visitors: underground car parks, above-ground car parks and street parking. In order to ensure that you can easily find a parking space, Maastricht has the so-called Parking Route Information System (PRIS). As you drive into the city, you will see the PRIS signs directing you to the underground and above-ground car parks where there are still spaces.
 
Street parking in the city centre is more expensive than parking in one of the underground or above-ground car parks.
 

Veolia Transport Limburg runs the city and regional public transport services in the province of Limburg. The timetables are in line with the wishes and needs of passengers. The frequent buses will take you to your destination quickly, comfortably and economically.
 

There are numerous free bicycle parking facilities all over the city, including in the city centre where there are free, covered, supervised bicycle parks.
Maastricht has four supervised bicycle parks: Kesselskade, Vrijthof, Markt and Het Bat. The first three are for the exclusive use of bicycles. The supervised section of the parking facility at Het Bat is reserved for mopeds and scooters.
 
 

Maastricht has excellent rail links. Trains arrive from and depart to destinations to the north, south and east of the city every day. Maastricht has two railway stations. The central station is in the central district of Wyck and a second station is to be found in the district of Randwyck, close to the academisch ziekenhuis Maastricht (azM, Maastricht teaching hospital). The central station is within walking distance of the city centre.
